Don’t Settle for the Medicare Power Chair

Medicare can still sometimes offer coverage towards the cost of power chairs, but it's much more limited now, and we unfortunately can no longer bill Medicare for the cost of power chairs. Medicare only pays for chairs on a rental basis, so you're not entitled to a brand new unit and have less input over which model you may receive. Additionally, to qualify, the physician has to prove that you need the scooter to get to your bedroom, bathroom and kitchen. This may require a face-to-face examination report, a letter of medical necessity and even physical therapy notes. They don't make things easy! Because of all those changes, LCP has opted out of the category, so any power mobility scooter or chair we provide is an out of pocket expense.

Delivery and Service

All delivery, set up, and repair services are provided by Letourneau’s Compounding Pharmacy staff members. We are very selective with our vendors and only partner with manufacturers that provide the highest quality products and services. We also offer in-house full-service repair by certified technicians!
